ED80 black diamond telescope

Skywatcher ED refractors are built with a two-element air-spaced objective. The second element is made of the highest grade ED fluorite glass called FPL-53. This premium glass choice is a basic warranty for virtually no false color and for high contrast. The high standard set in material choice is also set in production. No effort is spared to reach optimal optical quality: Our best opticians give each objective a hand pitch polishing finishing touch. This dedication to perfection together with aspheric shaping technology are the best ways to reach a very good wavefront which means virtually no aberrations and textbook star images. The quality of each ED Pro Series objective is monitored by means of Ronchi test and startest.

Performance of the Sky-Watcher ED refractors surely will both delight and surprise the most critical observer.

Skywatcher COLLAPSIBLE DOBSONIAN

SkyWatcher does it again. An old favorite gets a complete facelift with new features and upgraded components!

The venerable Dobsonian reflector design has recently undergone some important upgrades and improvements: SkyWatcher is pleased to introduce the all-new Collapsible Dobsonian complete with Crayford focuser – the ultimate in large aperture portability and performance.

This elegant truss tube design was carefully engineered to combine ease of use, extreme portability and consistent performance in an affordable package. Unlike other truss tube designs, the SkyWatcher Collapsible Dobsonian does not need to be disassembled between uses. It transports as two compact pieces that can be assembled and ready to use in just seconds! It is easy to collimate once set up, and it holds its collimation throughout the evening!

The bearing system has been redesigned as well. The new SkyWatcher Collapsible Dobsonians feature buttery smooth azimuth bearings. Even the twelve-inch model can be rotated with just the push of a finger. Like our traditional Dobsonians, the new Collapsible Dobsonians feature SkyWatcher’s patented tension adjustment control on the altitude bearings. This eliminates the need and added cost of clumsy counterweight systems to balance the telescope.

Oberwerk 45° 100mm Binocular Telescope

The highy-acclaimed Oberwerk 100mm Binocular Telescope is now improved in two very important ways for those whose primary interest is binocular astronomy- 45° oculars and a strong and smooth fork mount, which together provide comfortable viewing from horizon to zenith. Of course the new 45° 100mm Binocular Telescope also has Oberwerk's signature broadband multi-coatings on every lens surface, including the massive porro prisms. 25x fully multi-coated wide-angle eyepieces are included, but because of the industry-standard 1.25" helical focusers, your favorite telescope eyepieces can be used as well. The rest of the binocular, including the semi-apochromatic triplet objectives, is the same proven design as found in the original 25/40x100mm

Complete package price includes binocular, removable handle, aluminum carrying case, wooden tripod with fork mount, and 25x oculars. The tripod can be upgraded to our premium jarrah hardwood tripod for $100. 7x50mm correct-image finderscope (as shown) is optional. Binocular is pre-tapped for the finderscope's precision-ground dovetail base (no adjustment required- just lock it in and it's aligned). Because accurate collimation is critical at higher magnifications, every Oberwerk binocular is collimated prior to shipping- so even at 100x, you'll enjoy perfectly merged images. If you need easy crank-up height adjustment, take a look at our exclusive Bogen 3258 tripod option.
